Georgios Vasileiadis is an EU Qualified lawyer specialised in international and European law, currently working in the Legal Department of the European External Action Service (EEAS) at the HQ in Brussels. His work supports EU external action with legal and administrative matters focusing on financial regulation, security, transparency, litigation and cooperation with EU Delegations.
He previously worked at the European Commission (OLAF) and in the international private sector, gaining experience in EU programmes, corporate governance and cross-border legal matters.
Georgios holds multiple LL.M. degrees with distinction in International law, European Law and Public and Criminal law. He is also actively involved in institutional initiatives, including as a member of the EEAS Diversity & Inclusion Committee, contributing to initiatives on equality, inclusion and organisational culture. He has also participated in high-level international meetings as a liaison officer, supporting cooperation between the EU and international partners.
His main interests include international cooperation, governance and capacity building, with a focus on making legal and institutional frameworks more accessible and practical for practitioners worldwide. As a Capacity4dev Ambassador, he aims to contribute to knowledge sharing and to strengthening connections between policy, legal and operational communities worldwide.
