I am pleased to join this group in order to share experiences with other colleagues interested in international development cooperation. I am open to join new projects, open to new job opportunities (short term or part-time or full time).
I have been working as associate professor since 1990 at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. I teach subjects in geodesy (GPS), cartography and geoinformation technology. I also give lectures on project management, innovation and entrepreneurship to master students at KTH.
During the last 25 years, I have worked with capacity building projects in Mocambique and Ethiopia, funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). I have been project leader for 9 projects on capacity building in higher education, funded by the Tempus Programme and Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Participating countries include: Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Jordan, Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan) and Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzergowina, Kosova, Serbia).
Innovation and entrepreneurship has been a key element in my capacity building projects, where we build innovation ecosystems including government agencies, universities, private enterprises and entreprenurs, introduce new university courses on innovation and entrepreneurship, and finally establish innovation centres which provide pre-incubator support to teachers and students in their business idea development.
