Italian, mum of two amazing children. Over the past two decades, I have dedicated myself to the humanitarian and development sector, working with a range of organizations, including NGOs, UN Agencies, and currently, the European Commission at DG INTPA in the Malawi Delegation.
My extensive experience in development cooperation has predominantly revolved around fund management and the execution of projects and programs.
With an academic background in economics and work experience in the education and TVET sectors, I've ventured into diverse areas of work within the Commission. Over the years, I have been exposed to several education systems in development and emergency contexts. From this angle, I increasingly became familiar with processes related to the public sector reform. I have authored several articles on early-grade learning and teacher reforms, which have been featured on the Global Partnership for Education's website.
I am a strong advocate for Early Childhood Development, which unfortunately still receive a limited allocation of funds, despite a growing evidence that is one of the sector providing the highest return on investment.
Currently, I am more involved with projects that aimed to strengthen the production and availability of data and statistics across sectors at country level and strategic communication.
During my free time, I cherish moments with my children, engage in sports, relish outdoor activities, explore new destinations through travel, and indulge in non-fiction literature, as there is always something new to learn out there!
