I am an entrepreneurial health professional, well versed in public health in Africa and Latin America. Thinking and acting out-of-the-box, as blueprints do not work over there. I engage with community members to assess the challenges they face and to find ways to tackle them, co-creating feasible and tailor-made solutions. Addressing health needs in resources-constraint and fragile settings is my cup-of-tea.
I retired from Dutch Development Cooperation after 22 years as a jack-of-all-trades at the Global Health and SRHR division and at Dutch embassies in Nicaragua, Ghana and burundi. From September 2021 to July 2023 I was an active member of the Team Europe Initiative (TEI) working group on SRHR in Africa. Regardless of reaching the retirement finish, my passion for development work is unabated.
