I hold a Ph.D. in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering (Haramaya University, Feb 2021), an M.Sc. in Watershed Management (Hawassa University, July 2010), & a B.Sc. in Land Resources Management and Environmental Protection (Mekelle University, July 2004), Ethiopia. My career spans roles as a Junior instructor, Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and researcher at Wolaita Sodo University of Ethiopia. I also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Water and Land Resource Centre for Oxford University’s REACH project, Addis Ababa, and at the University of the Free State, South Africa, focusing on SLM-Climate resilience for water security, hydrological & erosion modeling, land use land cover dynamics, soil quality, climate impact assessments, and geospatial analysis. I have been advising more than 20 postgraduate students. I have authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications, presented at international conferences.
