
Michela is a dynamic professional who recently joined WV EU Representation as a Junior EU Partnerships Officer. Originally from Rome, Michela has cultivated a passion for international cooperation and global governance throughout her academic and professional journey. She holds an Advanced MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political and International Sciences from LUMSA University.
Michela's early career is marked by her proactive engagement in roles that span diverse sectors. Prior to joining WVI, she served as an EU Partnerships Intern at the World Resources Institute, where she honed her skills in building strategic alliances and advancing sustainable initiatives. Her experience also includes working as an Electoral Campaign and Follow-Up Officer for the EXPO 2030 Rome Bid Committee, where she played a key role in promoting Rome's candidacy to host the universal exposition.
A passionate advocate for gender equality, Michela has focused primarily on unpaid care work and EU policies aimed at closing the gender pay gap. She is deeply committed to highlighting the critical role that unpaid care work plays in shaping economic and social outcomes, and to advocating for policies that promote equal opportunities. She was the vice president of ‘Women in the fields’, an association devoted to empowering women from smaller communities by offering networking opportunities, mentorship, and professional development.
