She is a Costa Rican young woman. She studied Environmental Engineering at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica and is currently doing an MSc in International Land and Water Management at Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands. Natalia is currently the Special Adviser on Youth of the European Commissioner in International Partnerships and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Youth Network for Disaster Risk Reduction of the Americas and the Caribbean. She was the president of the Youth and Climate Change Network of Costa Rica and co-chair of the NDC Partnerships Youth Task Force for the development of the Youth Engagement Plan. Natalia has worked in climate adaptation with the United Nations Environment Programme, the NGO La Ruta del Clima, and with the consulting firm Climate Lead Group. Natalia has experiences in processes related to climate adaptation planning, disaster risk reduction, climate policy, and youth engagement.
