The Africa-Europe Youth Academy is launching a call for proposals

Are you a nonprofit organization active in several countries in sub-Saharan Africa? Do you believe in the power of young people to transform communities? Then this call is for you:
Objective: Support “youth spaces” created by and for young people (aged 18 to 30) in 18 Sub-Saharan African countries, through grants, capacity building, and training.
Expected missions for project leaders:
- Identify and support youth organizations
- Manage grants in two phases (up to 50 organizations funded in two phases)
- Strengthen the technical and organizational capacities of young people
- Promote the engagement of young women and the inclusion of young people in vulnerable situations
- Encourage collaboration between Africa and Europe
The 18 target countries are: Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Ghana, Benin, Guinea, Mauritania, Togo, Cameroon, DRC, Congo, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia.
Total budget: €1,035,000
Application deadline: September 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

About the Project
The AEYA project is implemented by Expertise France and AICS, with funding from the European Union. It is one of the flagship programs of the EU’s Youth Action Plan in External Action and is part of the “Youth Mobility for Africa” initiative, under the Global Gateway Africa–Europe Investment Program.
