DEAR map

Do you know how many projects the EU DEAR Programme is currently funding? How many past and present DEAR projects and partners are located in Slovakia? Or Ukraine? Or Italy? Which organisations or Local Authorities (LAs) you can contact to get involved in a project on sustainable consumption or global education? With the new EU DEAR Programme website, these answers are just a few clicks away.

On www.dearprogramme.eu, you can dive into DEAR projects, explore valuable learning and advocacy tools and other global citizenship education resources. You can stay up to date on events, news and opportunities - with further information on the EU’s knowledge sharing platform Capacity4Dev. You can also connect to DEAR programme and project videos.

Learn how DEAR projects are promoting global justice, human rights, sustainable development, and citizen participation. For example, discover the SPARK! project and learn how climate change and inequalities interlink and what you can do about it. Explore the FoodWave project, which promotes sustainable food systems in cities. Learn how what you eat affects the planet.

The new DEAR website responds to the needs of the DEAR Community -  project participants, young activists, educators,  advocates, decision-makers, scholars working on global issues such as migration, climate change, fair trade, critical consumption, global inequalities, sustainable development cooperation and more. It shows how the DEAR community is contributing to combat climate change in the EU and in the Global South. It shows how DEAR is working to change the media narrative about migrants and refugees, and working to protect their rights.

Are you working on global justice and sustainability in France, for example? Are you thinking ahead to the next call for DEAR project proposals in a few years? Use the interactive DEAR map to find all the DEAR projects and partners working on the same topic, in the same country. Reach out to them and build alliances! Over 400+ organisations and LAs that have been involved in DEAR projects over the past ten years are in the map database. (Data was updated in July 2023 and is ever growing.)

Want to raise awareness about global issues and on how the world is interconnected? Please share the DEAR website and spread the word of how the EU contributes to education and advocacy for a more just, sustainable, and green world. New sections will be added over time, so remember to stay tuned!
