Call for partners for University on Youth and Development (UYD) - deadline 18 May 2025

The CoE North-South Centre launched the call for partners for this year’s University on Youth and Development (UYD), which will take place from 15 to 21 September in Mollina, Spain, under the theme  Empowering Youth for Digital Safety. 

The UYD is organised in the framework of the iLEGEND III project, financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe. 

The 24^th edition of the University on Youth and Development (UYD) will be organised in Mollina, Spain, from 15 to 21 September 2025. Under the annual theme for the Youth Summer Universities in 2025 - Empowering Youth for Digital Safety -, the North South Centre is looking for partners who are interested in organising activities in the framework of the UYD with a connection to the topic.

Activity proposals can be submitted in the online form, until 18 May 2025 (23:59, Lisbon time).

Call for partners of the 2025 edition of the University on Youth and Development 

The University on Youth and Development (UYD) is an international youth event that brings together youth-led and youth-oriented organisations from across Europe and beyond. The event provides a unique platform for participants to run their own activities (trainings, seminars, board meetings, etc.) within a dynamic and participatory context that encourages networking, cooperation, and peer-to-peer education.

Since 2000, the UYD has served as an international hub for meetings, youth advocacy and the exchange of best practices, all designed to empower youth to become catalysts for positive change. Hundreds of young people, youth workers, decision-makers, field experts and institutional representatives come together for a week-long programme of meetings, debates, capacity-building and collaboration on youth policy issues in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The annual theme provides the connecting thread for all activities held during the Summer Universities, with all participants invited to engage with it during the plenary sessions. Don't miss this opportunity to propose an activity as part of this transformative event dedicated to youth empowerment for digital safety!

How to apply? 

Organisations interested in joining the 2025 edition are invited to submit their applications by 18 May 2025. It is essential that all applicants carefully read the theme concept and the call for activities in order to understand the practicalities and commitments involved for partners who join this year’s edition.

Organisations selected to run their activity within the 24^th edition of the UYD will join the partnership and collaborate with many other organisations for the success of the event and for the growth of the youth sector.
