How can stronger connections between entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation ecosystems help social and sustainable solutions grow?

On 30 and 31 July 2026, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, became a meeting point for entrepreneurs, startups, investors, and innovation ecosystem actors during the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair and VCILAT Summit 2026.

The event created space to connect emerging solutions with venture capital, impact investment, private-sector actors, and regional networks, fostering dialogue on the conditions needed for innovative initiatives to grow and scale.

Within this ecosystem, the EU-LAC Social Accelerator strengthens connections between social innovation, investment, and sustainable development, creating opportunities for initiatives to access knowledge, networks, and financing.

From innovative ideas to investment opportunities

Throughout the two-day event, participants engaged in spaces for networking, knowledge exchange, pitching, and conversations around entrepreneurship, investment, and innovation.

A key component was the VCILAT Demo Pitch, which created an opportunity for innovative ventures to present their solutions and strengthen their connections with investors and other actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Beyond showcasing individual initiatives, the event highlighted an important challenge for the region: innovative solutions need more than good ideas. They also require strong ecosystems, access to networks, investment readiness and opportunities to connect with financing.

By bringing together different actors from the innovation and investment ecosystem, spaces such as VCILAT can help bridge the gap between emerging solutions and the resources required to scale their impact.

The participation of the EU-LAC Social Accelerator in these types of ecosystem-building spaces contributes to its broader objective of fostering a fair, inclusive and socially responsible green and digital transition across Latin America and the Caribbean.
