EU Youth Alumni Launches Global Capacity-Building Workshop Series

EU Youth Alumni is kicking off a new global capacity-building training offer, running from February to April 2026, starting with the first online workshops on 9 February 2026. Delivered by field experts virtually, the series brings together EU Youth Alumni from across developing countries to strengthen practical skills, peer networks, and their role as change-makers in local communities.

A modular training offer built for action

This capacity-building offer provides a comprehensive learning framework for young people aged 18–30 who have participated in EU-funded youth programmes. The catalogue includes 27 modular training sessions designed to be immediately useful in alumni work—supporting stronger communication, better project delivery, digital innovation, and meaningful civic engagement. Each module focuses on action-oriented learning, so participants can apply skills directly to real-world challenges.

The training offer is structured across six thematic areas:

• Communication & Storytelling
• Digital Skills & Innovation
• Youth Work Methodologies
• Personal & Interpersonal Development
• Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development
• Civic Engagement & EU Policy

Sessions run for 60 to 120 minutes, allowing flexible programming for global, regional, or local needs. All modules use interactive, non-formal education methodologies, emphasising active participation, peer learning, and practical skill application.

Every module is aligned with the three pillars of the EU Youth Action Plan 2022–2027—Engage, Empower, Connect—and mapped to Youthpass key competences for lifelong learning. This dual alignment helps participants both develop practical capabilities and recognise and document their learning, supporting future education, employment, and leadership pathways.

Workshop topics were selected based on a prior analysis with EU Youth Alumni focus groups in multiple countries, ensuring relevance to alumni realities and priorities. Modules can also be tailored to specific audiences and adapted at global, regional, or local level.
