Over 7,000 homesteads have now been recorded and over 8,000 landholdings mapped in the project's four pilot areas. With the project now in its final 6 months, an all out push is underway to complete the bulk of the fieldwork before the long holiday and traditional events season and shut-down. In the new year, the focus will be on 'sweeping up' unrecorded homestead lands, processing and editing the data collected, returning the provisional results to each chiefdom for community verification and validation, and final delivery of land administration systems and information to each chiefdom.
