In response to the many enquiries we have received via the email address aeyacademy@expertisefrance.fr, we have created a public FAQ section where you can find the answers.


1. I would like to apply for the New Leaders Lab, but the link I received is broken (does not work). What should I do?

If the link is not working, we recommend that you:

  • Copy and paste the link directly into your browser;
  • Try using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc.);
  • Use a different device (computer or mobile phone);
  • Check that your internet connection is stable.

If the issue persists, please contact the programme team, indicating your country and attaching a screenshot of the error message.


2. I am unable to upload my ID document or CV on the application form. What should I do?

Please ensure that your documents meet the requirements of the application form. The maximum file size allowed for each document is 10 MB.

If necessary, try compressing your files before uploading them. You may also:

  • Use a different browser;
  • Use a different device;
  • Check that your internet connection is stable.

If the issue persists, please contact the programme team and describe the difficulty you are experiencing.


3. Where can I find all the information about the programme?

All information related to the New Leaders Lab is available in the Applicant Guide, as well as on the Capacity4Dev platform (https://urls.fr/JPXy1r), where you will also find answers to frequently asked questions.

We encourage you to consult these resources before submitting your application.


4. I am having trouble scanning the QR code to apply for the New Leaders Lab. What should I do?

If you are unable to scan the QR code, try applying with the application link: https://ee-eu.kobotoolbox.org/x/iDhzani1

If you continue to experience difficulties, please contact the programme team.


5. I would like to know more about the duration of the training and how the sessions will be organised. Will the training take place on weekends or during the week?

The New Leaders Lab will run between September and December 2026.

Depending on the country, the programme may be delivered entirely online, entirely in person, or through a combination of both formats. Once selected, participants will be informed of the training arrangements by their local implementing partner.

A detailed programme schedule will be shared with selected participants before the start of the programme, at which point they will be able to confirm their availability. Candidates who are unable to participate may be replaced by applicants on the waiting list.


6. I submitted my application but did not receive any confirmation email. How do I know my application will be taken into consideration?

The New Leaders Lab no longer sends confirmation emails upon submission. Instead, applicants receive an on-screen confirmation message once their application has been successfully submitted.

If you received this confirmation message after clicking "Submit", your application has been successfully recorded.


7. What are the eligibility criteria for the New Leaders Lab?

To be eligible for the New Leaders Lab, you must:

  • Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application;
  • Be a resident of one of the programme's eligible countries;
  • Demonstrate a commitment to creating positive change in your community;
  • Be available to participate in the programme's activities.

8. I am over 30 years old (or under 18 years old) and would like to apply for the New Leaders Lab. Will my application be considered?

No. The New Leaders Lab is exclusively open to young people aged 18 to 30 at the time of application.

Unfortunately, applications from individuals who do not meet this age requirement cannot be considered, even if they satisfy all other eligibility criteria.
