After a global call for participation in GERIS project and receiving close to 600 applications, the process of selecting GERIS Network members has been successfully concluded. 150 civil society representatives and 25 journalists are chosen to work together with the global community-based exchange initiative from June 2021 to September 2022.  

Following the establishment of GERIS Network, a first plenary meeting will be held on 21 June with the participation of all the project participant, to officially launch the work on the project. Stefan Schleuning, Head of Unit, Foreign Policy Instruments and Ellis Mathews, Head of Division, Multilateral Relations (EEAS), alongside the project Steering Committee represented by Merete Bilde and Nelson Jorge and the project key expert on behalf of the implementing consortium, will be involved in welcoming the project participants.
