Report: EU Water Initiative Multi-Stakeholder Forum 2014

The EUWI Multi-Stakeholder Forum (MSF) focused on the main results of the different components of the initiative, and the priorities for next year. The meeting was co-hosted by the European Commission - Ms. Marta Moren Abat, DG Environment, and Mr. Andre Liebaert, DG Development and Cooperation – and SIWI represented by Dr. Hakan Tropp. Despite the early timing allocated this year in WWW’s programme the MSF attracted around 60 participants from EUWI stakeholders, representing regional organisations, international organisations, civil society, the EUWI regional working groups, and new- comers from the private sector. The Forum comprised various presentations linking water to the green economy, infrastructure development, the nexus, and in particular water and energy the theme of WWW 2014, followed by questions and panel discussions on matters arising.
