Technical assistance support to the Sustainable Land Administration and Management project offically ended on 26 August 2019 with a close out workshop that reviewed the results achieved and the lessons learned during, according to stakeholders, a successful pilot project. Work continues on the project, led by the Surveyor General's Department, until the end of 2019 utilising the remaining counterpart funds. Despite the difficult fiscal enviroment, stakeholders are confident that the Government of Eswatini will provide sufficient funding to continue some work next year and to bridge an expected gap in development assistance support.
