Synthesis report of the Regional Farmers Knowledge Exchanges and Buyers - Sellers Mart

With a clear focus on "building closer links between agriculture and tourism" in the Pacific Islands region, the Pacific community Agritourism Week facilitated exchanges of experiences between participants from the Pacific countries and peers from the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean through workshops for chefs and farmers, as well as information exchanges for policymakers, private sector operators and agritourism promoters.

By bringing together farmers and tourism operators to share ideas on how to use more local products in the tourism industry, the PacAgriTo has developed several opportunities of networking among which the organisation of a Regional Farmers Knowledge Exchanges and a Buyers/Sellers Mart.
