TED Newsletter Issue 8: March 2026

The latest edition of the Team Europe Democracy Initiative (TED) Newsletter brings together recent developments from across the network, reflecting both operational engagement and ongoing policy discussions. 

This issue provides updates on TED grants and trainings, including a new module on mainstreaming democratic governance, as well as continued efforts to strengthen coordination in partner countries such as Burundi. It also presents findings from a report on the implementation of the EU Transitional Justice Policy Framework.

Contributions in this edition address key challenges to democracy support, including geopolitical pressures, disinformation, and technology-facilitated gender-based violence. The newsletter also highlights initiatives on transparent procurement in Global Gateway investments, new partnerships such as OCCRP, and upcoming global events including World Press Freedom Day and RightsCon.
