How can youth workers turn concerns around young people’s wellbeing, participation and emotional empowerment into campaigns that can influence change?

A new interactive toolkit from the EMPASY project brings together practical guidance for youth workers looking to develop and run advocacy initiatives.

EMPASY – Emotional Literacy and Participatory Approaches to Support Youth Mental Health – a project from Solidar – works with youth workers and young people in Belgium and Italy, and Lebanon, Jordan and Morocco, with a focus on emotional literacy, participation and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

Developed from a series of advocacy training sessions held in early 2026, the toolkit covers setting campaign goals, storytelling and digital communications, building alliances, campaign planning and evaluation, and sustaining engagement over time.

The resource may be of particular interest to organisations working on youth participation, global citizenship education and related advocacy.

Explore the EMPASY Training Toolkit on the SOLIDAR+ website.
