Demining

This initiative will take the form of continued strong support for ANAMA (resources, capacity building, equipment, etc) and in coordination with the government’s priorities and policies in the context of demining and in close cooperation with government authorities. 

IDPs are to benefit from these projects and also actively participate in them, with new demining teams recruited primarily from IDP communities in the areas close to the former Line of Contact. The demining teams will work closely with local communities. Participation of local non-governmental organizations in the demining activities ensures that the expertise and capacity will remain in Azerbaijan.
