About
The Team Europe Initiative (TEI) Sustainability in Global Value Chains promotes collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange to strengthen fairness, transparency, and environmental responsibility across global value chains.
As Team Europe, the EU and select EU Member States (Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Sweden) have joined forces to support governments, businesses, and civil society in partner countries to meet and benefit from international sustainability and human rights standards. Furthermore, the TEI supports the inclusive implementation of the EU’s due diligence legislation by taking into account local development contexts and country-specific dynamics, thereby fostering true partnership and shared responsibility.
The EU Due Diligence Navigator for Partner Countries
EU legislation – including the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) – is reshaping how sustainability and responsible business conduct are addressed across global value chains. For stakeholders in partner countries that trade with the EU, this raises new expectations but also presents new opportunities such as fairer business relationships and better access to remedy for rightsholders.
In response to this evolving landscape, the EU Due Diligence Navigator for Partner Countries has been developed and will be available from early 2026.
The online platform, available on DG INTPA’s website, features a collection of nearly 300 existing initiatives developed by the EU and its Member States that support human rights and environmental due diligence. These initiatives may include regional projects, training programs, policy guidance and other documents and tools, financing opportunities, and dialogue forums to enable users to access the resources most relevant to their needs.
As an online platform, the Navigator supports a wide range of stakeholders to:
- Access clear, practical information on the CSDDD and its implications for stakeholders in partner countries.
- Identify relevant support, including country or region-specific projects, training and other relevant initiatives.
- Receive tailored information from a dedicated team of advisors.
By connecting people, policies, and resources, the Navigator aims to strengthen sustainability and resilience across global value chains, turning regulatory change into a pathway for empowerment and inclusive growth.
The Navigator is jointly funded by the European Commission’s DG INTPA and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
