1. Security sector and police reform

• Support to Security Sector Reform and Police reform process: political and policy dialogue, technical assistance, police and military experts;
• EU Security Sector Governance and Reform Facility.

2. Maritime security

• EU Coordinated Maritime Presences and Support to Maritime Security in the Gulf of Guinea - SWAIMS;
• Navy’s maintenance and capacity-building;
• Addressing root cause of piracy and insecurity in the Niger Delta.

3. Prevent and mitigate conflict and tensions over the access to land and natural resources

• Addressing Farmers-Herders tensions;
• Mediation peacebuilding, conflict resolution and community inclusion.

4. Stabilisation and resilience in the North

• Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus Resilience to violent extremism;
• Demobilisation, disassociation, reintegration and reconciliation;
• Regional Stabilisation Facility.

5. Inclusive governance

• Strengthen Democratic Institutions and Participatory Governance;
• Strengthen protection and promotion of Human Rights;
• Role of Civil Society in governance.
