The disposition time refers to the time needed to shift the backlog of pending cases. It estimates the number of days required to close a pending case. A short version of the formula for calculating is:
disposition time=  (no.of unresolved cases at the end of a period)/(no.of resolved cases in a period)  x  no.of days in period
