The capacity4dev.eu community of development professionals is now over 4,000 strong, with 49 public groups sharing information, generating discussion and developing capacity. To salute this, capacity4dev.eu announces a photo competition and invites you to share your photographs on the theme of Capacity Development.

We invite members of the capacity4dev.eu website to contribute their two best photographs that illustrate the effects, successes and lessons learned on the theme of Capacity Development.

The notion of Capacity Development has evolved from the field of training and Technical Assistance towards change processes and reform at institutional level and in societies, therefore extending the focus to facilitation of change and knowledge sharing.

Whether you are a development practitioner in the field or at Headquarters, we encourage you to sift through your photographs and present those that tell a story of change.

It’s a wide brief and you can cover a variety of aspects. For example, you can show us your photos about transformation, teamwork, possibility, sharing perspectives, and the trials and tribulations of getting a job done.

Each photo needs a brief description advising where and when the photo was taken and any other information that will help tell its story.

The Editorial Team will select three photos for posting on the sites’ homepage in a dedicated magazine article, and all submitted photos have the opportunity to be used within capacity4dev.eu.

The deadline for entries is Monday April 30th 2012.

We thank you in advance for your interest and we look forward to showcasing your photographic talent!
