Many of you have already launched working groups here on the capacity4dev.eu platform. Those of you who have yet to take the plunge can dive into this short guide to the capacity4dev.eu group functions.

The capacity4dev.eu group functions can be a useful tool particularly for those of us collaborating with colleagues across continents and time zones. Working groups enable you to gather a team of stakeholders around a common interest, topic or task, share information and resources in an online, centralised space, stock documents and build an accessible institutional memory, or structure an online discussion.

Groups are also a great way to keep interested parties abreast of the latest developments in your field. Through the groups function you can advertise an upcoming event, share related literature and maintain contact with attendees – no matter where they are.

Currently on capacity4dev.eu there are more than 20 work groups, including a lively work group for the revision of Programme and Project Cycle Management Guidelines. While AIDCO’s unit E5 has set up the Agriculture and Rural Development work group to better link colleagues in Commission headquarters with those working in delegations.

So what are you waiting for?

Creating a group is simple. Go on the “All Groups” page and request a “New Group”. Fill in the brief form and you’ll soon receive an activating email in your inbox.
