The EU and Nigeria have been broad political partners since 2008, collaborating on a wide range of sectors, from peace and security to migration, trade and good governance. Under the Global Gateway Strategy, Team Europe brings together the EU, the European Investment Bank, and several Member States to actively work across areas including the digital and green economy, health, and migration, with around €731 million in grant funding allocated for 2021–2027.
In this first podcast episode, we have the pleasure of speaking with Massimo de Luca, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS. Massimo tells us about a countrywide approach to digital public infrastructure and the Omi Eko project, which aims to foster greener, more inclusive, and resilient urbanisation in Lagos.
