As part of the Backbone Strategy, EC Delegations have screened ongoing and forthcoming technical cooperation operations and PIUs against key quality criteria. A mapping grid has been sent to Headquarters by Delegations at the end of January 2009. A consolidated picture of technical cooperation emerged from this exercise showing the diversity of situations major challenges for quality improvements.
- Mapping of Technical Cooperation and Parallel Implementation Units (June 2009): This reporting consists of a mapping of all "significant" TC operations and of an assessment (by the EC Delegation itself) of the quality of those TC operations.
- Mapping of the Commission's Technical Cooperation in Asia Provides a Good Starting Point: In this video, Jos Jonckers and Franck Viault from EuropeAid's Asia office in Brussels highlight the results of the mapping exercise in Asia and look at the next steps to follow.
- Significant Technical Cooperation Operations Mapping Grid: This grid attached to the EAMR 2009 is used to map significant technical cooperation operations and draft "action plans".
- TC-PIU reform Country Action Plan: This adaptable format intends to help Delegations to develop a country Action Plan. It is a supporting tool and needs to be tailored to the country context.
