The Council requests the Commission and Member States to encourage partner countries to adopt and implement National Action Plans against Child Labour to end the worst forms by 2016.
The overall objective of this report is to identify and assess current efforts to combat child labour in general and eliminate the worst forms of child labour in particular.
ILO Convention No 182 of 17 June 1999 requires ratifying States to take immediate and effective measures to secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst of child labour as a matter of urgency.
