André Bossuroy began his career as a civil engineer in 1986. Between 1999 and 2000, he organized audiovisual and interpretation tests for the Commission, the Parliament, and the Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, with the perspective of the EU enlargement from 15 to 25 member countries. This initial contact with the "European project" redirected his career path. Driven by a "taste for humanity," the engineer transitioned into filmmaking, specializing in giving a voice to European citizens, starting with students from the Erasmus program. In 2007, ARTE broadcasted his first portraits of students, focusing on the transformation of their perspectives before and after their Erasmus year. In 2012, his documentary film on Etty Hillesum, "In the Skin of a Deportee," was selected among the emblematic projects of the European Commission's Active European Memory program (The Citizen’s effect). Other television productions followed on RTBF and VRT in the field of education for development in Southern countries, supported by the Belgian Development Cooperation-DGD. In 2021, his team was appointed by the Sustainable Development Institute of the Prime Minister's Office as ambassadors for sustainable development (SDG Voices) along with 7 other associations in Belgium.
I joined the EU on 1 August 2013 as Procurement and Contracts Officer at the Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia. I am currently working as programme manager_civil Society. I am the focal person for civil society in the Delegation.
