The *Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare* and the *National Institute for Employment and Professional Training* of Uruguay organised on 16th and 17th September 2014 the first *workshop on Labour Orientation for Returnees*. This activity was held within the framework of the *Pilot Project on Migration and Employment designed and implemented by the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare of Uruguay [1]*, and coordinated by FIIAPP. The objective was to *offer a labour orientation to the Uruguayan returnees*. In this sense, the workshop focused on the *current labour market in Uruguay* and *midterm perspectives*, as well as provided *information on social and labour regulations* approved in the last ten years and on the *rights *generated for the persons. Furthermore, in the framework of the called *Itinerary for Returnees and Migrants* that aims to provide orientation, training and labour mediation to such group of persons, with a view to increase their labour insertion possibilities, the participants were suggested to *finalise formal studies* in different levels and formats that gives the public education, *get *knowledge*accredited *through mechanisms such as the one of the University of Employment of Uruguay, and *realise training courses* offered by the National Institute for Employment and Professional Training. *Read more. * [2] [1] http://migracion-ue-alc.eu/index.php/en-GB/migration-employment/reinteg… [2] http://migracion-ue-alc.eu/index.php/en-GB/migration-employment/reinteg…
