Are you looking for step-by-step guidance to formulate qualitative and quantitative indicators of gender transformative change in the context of food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture?

The EU-RBA Joint Programme on Gender Transformative Approaches for Food Security and Nutrition (JP GTA), in collaboration with the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform, have recently published “Guidelines for measuring gender transformative change in the context of food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture . Implemented in collaboration with and through financial support from the EU, the Joint Programme is inspired by the EU Gender Equality Strategy and contributing to the implementation of the EU’s Gender Action Plan III which promotes a gender transformative and intersectional approach in all areas of the EU’s external action.

The guidelines were launched during a virtual webinar in September 2023, and a shorter “At a glance” version was also published in October 2023 as a reference tool to introduce experts to key concepts and messages from the Guidelines in a condensed format. The “Guidelines on measuring gender transformative change” constitute the latest contribution of the JP GTA to knowledge generation and capacity building for gender transformative programming at global, regional and country levels, in line with the EU’s development priorities for gender equality and women’s empowerment in agri-food systems.
