Interesting tutorials, info and studies from "e-NEXUS Technical Workshop: Opti-Bioenergy Module - Decision Support"

In October, another workshop has been organised in the context of the project "Support to the management of water resources and the Water-Energy-Agriculture Nexus in the Senegal River Basin" (WEFE-SENEGAL).

The WEFE-SENEGAL project aims at developing a module for the analysis of the bioenergy potential of crop residues in the basin, using a small-scale bioenergy model and its integration in an information system called e-NEXUS SENEGAL.

The two previous workshops already held include:

• the climate variability module (https://aquaknow.jrc.ec.europa.eu/en/projet-wefe-senegal-wefe-senegal-c…)
• the Agri-Bioenergy module (https://aquaknow.jrc.ec.europa.eu/en/projet-wefe-senegal-wefe-senegal-c…)

Specifically, the workshop addressed the following points:

• Presentation of the structure of the e-NEXUS tool and its status  
• Presentation of the development status of the Opti-Bioenergy-WEFE module as a Decision Support tool 
• Presentation of the results of the module, their interpretation and their theories.
• Discussion on product improvement, treatments, presentation, development, ... and next steps. 

The workshop provided a range of interesting turtorials, information and documents on the topic of bioenergy in Senegal (in french).
