Interesting tutorials, info and studies from"e-NEXUS Technical Workshop - AGRI-BIOENERGY Module"
Discussion details
In September, a workshop has been organised in the context of the project "Support to the management of water resources and the Water-Energy-Agriculture Nexus in the Senegal River Basin" (WEFE-SENEGAL).
The WEFE-SENEGAL project aims at developing a module for the analysis of the bioenergy potential of crop residues in the basin, using a small-scale bioenergy model and its integration in an information system called e-NEXUS SENEGAL.
For more info on the project: https://aquaknow.jrc.ec.europa.eu/en/projet-wefe-senegal
The workshop addressed the following points
- Presentation of the structure of the e-NEXUS tool and its status
- Presentation of the development status of the Agri-Bioenergy module.
- Presentation of module results, their interpretation and theories.
- Discussion on product improvement, treatments, presentation, development, ... and next steps.
This meeting was a follow-up to the two workshops already held for the climate variability module (https://aquaknow.jrc.ec.europa.eu/en/projet-wefe-senegal-wefe-senegal-c…).
This training/development workshop was intended for African partner institutions of the WEFE-SENEGAL project as a priority. We have asked the different partner institutions (scientific and technical) to nominate 2 participants per institution.
The workshop provided a range of interesting turtorials, information and documents on the topic of bioenergy in Senegal (in french).
