We are looking for an International Women Peace and Security Specialist to support Peace Practice and Innovation (PPI) unit.

  • Conduct a global review of good practice drawing on existing evidence as well as complimenting the efforts with new insights from various contexts. This will contribute to following outputs concurrently developed by the EIP Team: a practitioner-friendly compendium of resources on thematic and country-specific good practice to overcome barriers to women’s meaningful participation in peace processes, and an open-access webpage. It is expected that the WPS Specialist would assist with the review and refining of these two outputs.
  • Guide the focus of three participatory in-country research reports to be conducted by research consultants to ensure policy depth and political analysis, evidence-informed content, inclusive research techniques, and analytical rigour.
  • Based on the country-specific reports, the compendium, and detailed knowledge of WPS contemporary debates, principles and dynamics, the WPS Specialist will generate a global report with actionable recommendations for a range of audiences including  peace process and political settlement negotiators and advisers, mediation entities, donors, civil society. It is expected that targeted interviews will be conducted to inform the report and ensure that it is policy-relevant and a direct contribution to the WPS 25th anniversary processes.
