In commemoration of the International Day of Rural Women (15 October) and the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (17 October), UN Women will host an e-discussion on "Unequal unpaid care work keeps rural women poor and violates their rights - how do we respond?" on its Knowledge Gateway for Women's Economic Empowerment.The discussion will run from 15 to 25 October 2013 and be moderated by MagdalenaSepulveda, UN Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights, together with Thalia Kidder, Senior Adviser on Women's Economic Rights, Oxfam GB; Rachel Moussie, Women's Economic Rights Coordinator, Action Aid International; Deepta Chopra, Social Policy Researcher, Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex; and Kate Donald, Adviser & Researcher, Office of Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights.
