MOOC on Children Deprived of Liberty: Enacting the Recommendations of the UN Global Study

In 2019 the UN Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty denounced that more than seven million children worldwide are deprived of liberty every year. It provided an assessment of the situation in different contexts and set out clear recommendations for change. One year from the publication the Study, how is the world doing?
The Global Campus of Human Rights MOOC Children Deprived of Liberty: Enacting the Recommendations of the UN Global Study provides updated information on situations, challenges, practices and possible solutions as they are being envisaged in each region of the world. The course is a complement to a previous Global Campus MOOC on the Global Study.
Designed in cooperation with the UN Global Study Team as well as lecturers and experts from the 7 Regional Master’s Programmes of the GC, the course offers a wealth of specialised knowledge and examples, enabling participants to benefit from rich and varied competences.
The MOOC is free and open to participants from all over the world who are actively interested and engaged in children’s rights work.
