November 28: DEVCO InfoPoint on RNSF Book on Social Protection!

We presented to you yesterday an InfoPoint conference organized by DevCo on "Catalysing productivity, job creation and inclusive growth in the informal sector in developing countries", which was held today (video of the session available on the link). Now it is the turn of RNSF!

On November 28 from 12:30 to 14:00 CET, DevCo will organize another InfoPoint session entitled "How to extend social protection to informal workers? Sharing experiences on Social Protection Coverage in the Informal Economy" and based on RNSF book Extending coverage: Social protection and the informal economy. It can be attended online by free live streaming or at DevCo office in Brussels upon free registration. The InfoPoint conference will be introduced by Lamine Diallo (Policy Officer for Employment, International Labour Standards at DEVCO B3 Migration, Employment Presentation) then presented by Paolo Carlini (RNSF Team Leader) and Christina Behrendt (Senior Social Protection Policy Specialist at ILO Social Protection Department). They will address the strategies and mechanisms to extend social protection schemes to informal workers.

InfoPoint sessions are conferences on European external cooperation organised by DEVCO and its partners in development for the general public, the development community and the staff of the European institutions to stimulate debate and exchange of ideas.
