The book Extending coverage: Social protection and the informal economy drafted during the RNSF Regional Workshop held last February in Kenya, involved a mixed group of researchers, regional experts, members of civil society organizations, and public officers.

Lilyanne Ndinda, a markets and livelihoods programme officer at Oxfam UK in Kenya, was one of them. Holder of a master’s in strategic management, Lilyanne has over 9 years of experience working on sustainable livelihoods and women’s economic empowerment. She has managed programmes in both rural and urban areas in Kenya and is particularly experienced in women’s economic justice, urban development, building resilience for vulnerable populations, market systems development and enterprise development. She is an ardent promoter of women’s inclusion in social, economic, and political spaces.

OxfamOxfam is an international confederation of charitable organisations focused on the alleviation of global poverty. As an implementing partner of the RNSF project, Oxfam UK implements a EU-funded program aiming to achieving secure and productive lives of vulnerable population dependent on informal economy in Nairobi Urban, enhancing the socio-economic empowerment of poor and vulnerable urban women dependent on the informal economy in Nairobi Urban.
