Members of East Dagon's inclusive self-help group

Anouk Van Neck and HelpAge team members visited East Dagon inclusive self-help group to see its work. ISHG members and Anouk discussed how they work in the community, the challenges they face and what the member’s need to further their work. Anouk then visited two older people’s house in the 6 Ward of East Dagon.

“I see this work is very important because the [inclusive self-help groups] are the first line of defence in preventing non-communicable diseases. As they are part of the community, they are best placed to do this and well trained by HelpAge. It’s important work,” Anouk Van Neck said after the visit.
