Event details
Description
There are many reasons for working collaboratively – we all know that – and one key benefit that has been shown to be true time and time again is learning: by working together on projects, we learn from our partners’ mistakes and successes as well as our own. Moreover, when multiple agencies working on multiple projects come together, collaborate and share across projects, our learning is multiplied.
That’s why at the end of November this year, the Disasters and Emergencies Preparedness Programme (DEPP) will bring together knowledge from the DEPP projects all over the world at a three-day Learning Conference in Nairobi, to share and amplify what we have learned.
29 NOVEMBER – 1 DECEMBERNAIROBI, KENYA
The Learning Conference will bring together internal and external DEPP stakeholders across all regions, with the ultimate aim of strengthening cross-project learning by sharing robust lessons that have emerged from DEPP projects, Learning Hubs and Programme Management. It will serve as a space for people to reflect, share and learn from one another, and it will be fun, adaptive and innovative as well as useful!
The overall focus will be on collaborative approaches to capacity building for disaster preparedness. Other themes will be determined by what kinds of learning are submitted by DEPP stakeholders via theCall for Learning. These themes could include the 5 DEPP areas, local actors and voices, collaboration in action, or something else entirely.
Download the Call for Learning for more information, or submit knowledge here.
