Description
The European Commission and the European Parliament in cooperation with UNESCO are organizing a special photo exhibition followed by a reception to celebrate the newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage sites in Europe.
The event will be a chance to discuss the importance of World Heritage inscription, and the opportunities it creates for sustainable tourism development.
Guest speakers at the event include Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Parliament, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, European Commissioner for Internal Market, Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Irina Bokova, Director General of UNESCO, Silvia Costa, MEP (Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education) and István Ujhelyi, MEP (Chair of the Tourism Task Force).
The event will be held at Parlamentarium, Willy Brandt building, Rue Wiertz/Wiertzstraat 60, B-1047 Brussels, from 18:30 to 20:30.
