Description
African Parks is hosting a Lab debate on 7 June at European Development Days in Brussels to consider how biodiversity conservation can contribute to delivering peace and security as a basis for development in fragile regions (especially Central Africa).
The expert panel will consider two main questions:
- What evidence is there that conservation contributes to peace and security?
- How successful have Public Private Partnerships been in managing protected areas and delivering security, and what can we learn from this approach?
The panel discussion will be in French. Audience questions and contributions will be welcome in French or English. See the event's webpage for details of speakers (link on right).
There is no live streaming of this debate, but a podcast will be available afterwards.
