InfoPoint conference: Social protection & public finance management

Over a period of four years, DG INTPA funded a programme that aimed to “Improve Synergies Between Social Protection and Public Finance Management (SP&PFM)” (2019-2023). From the economic case for investing in social protection, to conducting gender-responsive social protection expenditure reviews, the programme tested existing methodologies and developed new tools to foster a closer dialogue between Ministries of Finance and of Social Protection. Civil society and social partners were crucial for building the bottom-up demand needed for a rights-based approach to social protection. 

This InfoPoint conference will dive into the lessons learned, successful examples and challenges faced during the programme implementation in 24 countries, in close cooperation with EU Delegations.
