FIIAPP, with the collaboration of the Programme "Colombia Nos Une" of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Colombia, organised his fourth and last activity of the internship programme on migration and employment that took place in Bogota, Colombia from 5 to 9 May 2014.
The objective of this internship was to exchange on migration flows management and on labour migration policy development.
Civil servants from Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Salvador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, as well as Germany and Belgium, participated.
Methodology
Throughout the week, the participants followed a work agenda made up of conferences, training sessions and visits that put them in contact with key actors and institutions in the frame of the migration management in Colombia.
All training sessions were organised in order to leave a space for dialogue and to present the different experiences of the CELAC and EU countries involved in the internship. Thus it allowed to create a constructive debate about processes and methodologies in order to promote the human mobility and to improve the knowledge on migration policies of the CELAC countries.
Through this internship the reached results were:
• Enhancement of knowledge on migration flow management;
• Definition of key elements to build labour migration policy;
• Improvement of knowledge and development of objectives, tools and actors for a labour’s migration policy.
