KM Triversary Forum: Bridging the research-practice gap in knowledge management (KM)
Knowledge Management for Development (KM4Dev) community and others
Event details
Description
The KM4Dev community, the Knowledge Management for Development Journal and RealKM Magazine are organizing the KM Triversary Forum, a free, fully online, open space-style conference on 14-15 October with sessions covering all of the world's time zones. Please see the latest update here: https://realkm.com/2025/08/06/km-triversary-forum-2025-update-3-inviting-you-to-speak/
The Forum theme is "Bridging the research-practice gap in knowledge management (KM)," and there are two subthemes:
Subtheme 1: How can we bridge the research-practice gap in KM? How can research inform better KM practice, and, on the other hand, how can KM practice needs better inform research priorities?
Subtheme 2: What is the latest research benefiting KM practice?
We have chosen this theme and the related sub-themes because the disconnect between research and practice is one of the biggest challenges facing the further development of the field of knowledge management.
