Interested in Knowledge Sharing and Knowledge Management for development? Do you have a question, a good practice, some lessons learnt, ideas, or resources to share on how to disseminate and manage our knowledge to further our development objectives? Welcome!
Knowlege Management is an integral element of institutional development of almost all major international organisations and donor agencies active in the area of development cooperation. Development cooperation (policy and operations) is knowledge-based. This knowledge is derived from the operations, policy dialogue and learning, whilst at the same time knowledge feeds them.
KM is therefore a multi-disciplinary approach to achieve an organisation's objectives by making the best use of its knowledge. This refers to processes by which knowledge is created, acquired, stored, accessed, validated, disseminated and applied, as well as the cultural and technical foundations that support them.
