MEP Water Group – UNESCO: Partnerships and Cooperation for Water

On 23 May 2023, the MEP Water Group will co-host a conference in cooperation with UNESCO on this year's theme of the World Water Development Report "Partnerships and Cooperation for Water" and their importance in achieving SDG 6 by 2030.

This event aims to explore cooperative solutions to tackle our water-related global challenges, stressing the need to put in place a resilient and inclusive water system to achieve a Water-Smart Society in Europe and beyond. Relevant stakeholders shall strengthen collaborative tools for innovations, such as Water-Oriented Living Labs (WoLLs). Based on three key perspectives for building a sustainable water strategy – gender, research, and EU-African collaboration – the panel will explore effective solutions for implementing a cooperative strategy on water in Europe and beyond.
