Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and ICLEI
Event details
Description
Join us on August 22 to explore how local governments can collaborate with grassroots movements for fostering just urban development. Register here for this informative session and be part of a discussion on how city dwellers from the Global South voice their needs, offer their knowledge, contribute their solutions, and become active agents in their cities’ development. Together we will talk about best practices and how we can create standardized instruments and processes that no one is left behind.
The event is part of a Peer Learning series conducted by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in cooperation with Cities Alliance, ICLEI, UN-Habitat, Slum Dwellers International, the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance Africa, the African Union for Housing Finance and the City Diplomacy Lab. Throughout 2024, the 5-part series will focus on practical approaches to sustainable urba nplanning, construction, and financing from the subnational level.
