Last 29 October a workshop presenting the Guatemala Pilot Project, its achievements and following steps, was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Guatemala City.
Civil servants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare, as well as experts involved in the Pilot Project implementation, and civil society representatives, participated.
The objective of the workshop was to present the results of the Pilot Project:
- Product Nb. 1: Elaboration of diagnosis and design of operative structure of the departments in main national institutions that work in Migration and Employment areas (MINEX and MINTRAB).
- Product Nb. 2: Development of protocols of performance in matters of labour migration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare.
- Product Nb. 3: Development of computer systems to support administration, putting into operation and linking Migration and Employment.
This activity was organised within the framework of the Pilot Project designed and implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINEX) and the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare (MINTRAB) of Guatemala and coordinated by FIIAPP.
